Additional information for travellers in July and August 2023

There will be some planned works in the vicinity of our building from Monday until Saturday 10:00 AM until 06:00 PM CET during the following periods: 10.-18.07.2023 / 24.-26.07.2023 / 31.07.-02.08.2023. The work will be situational and isolated. The hours between 06:00 PM and 10:00 AM CET and Sundays are not affected. Thank you for your understanding.

Can I store luggage?

If you are arriving early or leaving Düsseldorf later in the day we are delighted to store your luggage free of charge, please ask our reception team.

We offer complimentary high-speed WiFi for all throughout the hotel.

Is there a laundry service available?

Yes, please complete the form in your room and either call reception to arrange for collection or bring the laundry bag to reception by 9am for same day service.

What do I do if I accidentally leave some items in the hotel?

If you left an item behind our team will be happy to assist you. Please email with your name, check-out date, room number along with a description of the item and our lost and found team will investigate.

Are pets permitted in the hotel?

At Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf we love pets, however we understand that not everyone likes pets the same way we do. You can bring your dog for a supplement of €30 per night, but please do not bring it to the restaurant area – other guests might be afraid. Other pets such as cats are not allowed in the hotel. We thank you for your understanding. Guide dogs are welcome in all areas of the hotel.

Is the hotel reception desk open 24 hours a day?

Yes, reception is available 24/7.

What is the hotel’s smoking policy?

Smoking and vaping are prohibited in all areas of the building including bedrooms. An outdoor terrace and courtyard are available for guests to smoke and vape. Please note a fee of €250 cleaning fee can apply for violation of the smoking policy.

Is the hotel accessible?

Yes, we have 3 guest elevators and 2 rooms which are wheelchair accessible. Please contact our reservation team if you have any queries.

Do you provide printing facilities for boarding passes?

Our staff will be happy to help you with this service. Please email your boarding pass to in PDF format.

Does the hotel offer currency exchange?

We do not offer currency exchange, but there is an exchange desk at the main station only 5 minutes’ walk from our hotel. Our friendly reception team can provide you with directions.

Do you supply travel adapters?

We have a limited supply of adapters at the reception.

With a total number of 393 rooms, we are the biggest city centre hotel. We offer 6 categories of rooms. Please contact our reservation team and they will be happy to assist you finding the perfect room for your needs.

We have 2 rooms accessible for wheelchairs.

Are the hotel rooms air-conditioned?

All of our guest rooms and public areas are air-conditioned.

Do the bathrooms have a shower or bath?

We offer both options. Half of our rooms have a shower and half have a bath. Let us know your preferences and will try to accommodate you.

Does the room include tea and coffee making facilities?

Each room has the option to make both coffee and tea.

Does the hotel offer wake-up calls?

Rooms include hairdryer, iron and ironing board, safe, tea and coffee facilities, separated bath, TV and more.

We have an international restaurant for breakfast, a Japanese fusion restaurant, a sushi bar and teppanyaki restaurant.

We do not have a dedicated kids’ menu however many dishes are loved by our little guests too.

What does the “no-show” policy entail?

Reservations will be held for the first night. If you do not cancel and do not arrive at the hotel on the first night we will charge 90% of the total stay.

How far is the hotel from Düsseldorf Airport?

Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf is 7km from Düsseldorf International Airport (15 minutes by train or car from the main station).

How do I get to your hotel from Düsseldorf Airport?

Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf is a 5-minute walk to the main railway station. From the train station, it is best to take the S11, RE1 or RE2 trains to Düsseldorf Airport (some ICE trains also go there). Once at the airport you can take the Sky Train (no ticket needed) directly to your terminal.

Are there any shopping areas nearby?

Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf is located in the very heart of Little Tokyo. Many shopping areas are directly around our hotel including the famous Königsallee (KÖ), 5-minutes walk.

What is the closest train station?

Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf is perfectly located for transportation. It’s close by the main station (train, subway, suburban railway, tram), Oststraße (subway) and Charlottenstraße (bus station, tram).

What is there to see and do around the hotel?

Explore Little Tokyo! Go shopping at the Königsallee and Heinrich-Heine-Allee. Go to the Rhine River through the Altstadt (Old Town). Visit a few of the numerous museums. Book a ticket for Fortuna Football Club or buy a ticket for a concert in the city. Take a trip by boat or charter for your special occasion. Visit the Aquazoo or the Rhine Tower (there is a Japanese fusion restaurant as well on top!). There are many more options to do in Düsseldorf! Is parking available at the hotel?

There is a very large underground car park (550 spaces) connected to the hotel. The price starts from € 3.00 per hour to € 30.00 per day. The underground car park is operated by APCOA and we have no influence on their pricing.
