Dive into the history of Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf
Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf opened its doors in 1978 as Hotel Nikko Düsseldorf, a German-Japanese hotel founded in conjunction with the German-Japanese Centre. Throughout the years, Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf has seen many renovation and refurbishment projects, including a major expansion in 2009 which made it the largest hotel in central Düsseldorf.

In 2022, the hotel became Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf. We are proud to maintain the hotel’s German-Japanese roots and ties to the Little Tokyo area where it is situated, but to also add some of the distinctive service features that have made Clayton Hotels more personal.
