Düsseldorf Rhine Promenade

Nowhere else in Düsseldorf can the Rhenish joie de vivre of the Düsseldorfers be observed as well as on the Rhine promenade.

Mediterranean Ambience In The Heart Of The City

Connecting the historic old town with the modern Media Harbor and is considered one of the most beautiful of its kind. The Rhine promenade passes many of Düsseldorf’s most popular sights and places of interest and is only a short walk from Clayton Hotel Düsseldorf.

Sights Along The Banks Of The Rhine

The promenade is divided into four parts: the Tonhallenufer in the north, the Schlossufer, the Rathausufer and the Mannesmannufer. It begins at the level of the Düsseldorf Art Academy and ends at the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament.

If you stroll along it, you will pass Düsseldorf’s old town and its lively Burgplatz – a short tour is worthwhile here, where you can admire the town hall, the castle tower with its maritime museum and many other historical and interesting sights in Düsseldorf.

The Apollo Varieté, an event theater run by Bernhard Paul – the founder of Circus Roncalli -, the gallery of the art academy and the KIT are located directly on the banks of the Rhine. KIT stands for “Art in the Tunnel” and is an underground exhibition centre where art lovers can admire modern works. The Ceramics Museum and the Düsseldorf Film Museum are also easily accessible from the banks of the Rhine.

Food & Drink Overlooking The Rhine

Cafés, bars and beer garden-like venues line the lower shipyard on the Rathausufer and spoil you with delicious food and drink served with wonderful river views
